We Will Be A Cutesy and Quirky Fashion Community

Hey girlfrieennddd ✨,

I’m Renee, founder and CEO of Monarch XVII, the place where all your dreams come true…Well, maybe not all of your dreams, BUT it is the place where we do “fashion” a little differently.

(I say this like we already have clothes that you could purchase now, but I don’t, but I will–be patient, girly!)

Anyways, not only am I building this business to be a community of women that support each other and have the space to be themselves through “fashion” (AKA build a fashion community, duh) but a…let me list it out:

  • A wife (my husband would want me to say that first. Love you, sweetie!)

  • Mother of 2, a 3-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl

  • 27 weeks pregnant with a girl (ultrasound confirmed)

  • An elementary school teacher

  • Retired Marine

  • A daughter

  • And a friend (twinkling eyes)

So that’s me! Dat, be, me (staring off into the distance with haunting laughter in the background).

Even though it may seem like I have a lot going on, I have never been happier with myself. However, I wanted to create this business as a place I wish I had had growing up as a young woman, and even now. Why does fashion have to be so serious? Why can’t I dress cutesy, but also modestly and not be “attractive?” Why is it so hard to find clothes that are modestly pretty and unique other than on SheIn? Why can’t I find cute, silly earrings without having to search the earth for them? Why can't I find an inclusive fashion community that love modest, cutesy, quirky fashion? Why can’t women who are plus-sized find clothes that aren’t ill-fitting? Why do clothes only last for one body transfiguration? Why is it so hard to find clothes that aren't like everyone else? Why why why why why WHY?

Everyone will have their own answer to those questions, but I decided I could do something about it. In the Marine Corps, I was told to “be the change that you want to see,” so that is what I am going to do.

May coffee, good vibes, and the good lord (pronounced lort) Jesus send me through!

What would you like to see in this store that seems impossible or hard to find? Whether it be a product or a feeling/vibe? Share your thoughts, people! I’ll listen 🥰

Until next time, bye, your gorgeous creature!
